The sandeel quota for 2014 was for the first time allocated in specific areas. Area 1 had 54.000 tons and area 3 had1332.000 tons. Sandeel fishing in area 3 has for a number of years been poor. Area 2 and 4 had each 4.700 tons. The whole industry finds the scientific advice strange, and anticipates large problems for the fishermen and for the administration.
